for Effective Water Governance

Late Mr Vilasrao Salunkhe, was a visionary, who promoted the concept of equitable water distribution through his work in the area of water rights at the grassroots levels termed as PANI PANCHAYAT. As a tribute to his work and his dream of building consensus among various political parties on equitable water distribution, RMP has constituted a chair in his memory. This unique arrangement will serve as platform for all water related research activities, studies and will enable grassroot experiences to be dovetailed in the policy framework of the water sector.
